MENTOR-MENTEE

Student life can be demanding and stressful. Many students of age range from 18 to 22 years find themselves away from their families and homes for the first time. The Institute realizes that to enable the students to excel in academics to their full potential they must cope with and overcome personal and academic setbacks. To support them in these IDEAS has begun a Mentor-Mentee program with these objectives:

  • To provide a reliable and comprehensive support system that motivates students to excel in both academic and non-academic fields.
  • To ensure that the students adapt to the dynamic learning environment and lead their ways successfully in their professional lives.

At the commencement of the Academic program, each student is assigned to a Mentor who is a full-time faculty member at IDEAS.

They then meet regularly at least three times in a semester – at the beginning, in the mid semester, and at the end.

The Mentor reviews the mentee’s attendance, academic and extracurricular performance, health, and discipline.

The Mentor also provides advice, support, and motivation to the students.

The mentees are attached to the same mentor for the entire duration of the academic program.

In case of non-availability of the allotted mentor, the mentees will be notified and assigned to a new mentor.
