Settlement Studio
This studio aims at studying and understanding the various layers and parameters that make old settlements so distinct in their character. Derived from the various aspects of their lifestyles, these settlement studies enriches a students’ experience and knowledge base.
As students of architecture, looking into these settlements, experiencing them, it is not only the tangible factors of their built environments but the intangible factors of the cultural, social, environmental and the economics that shape them, is an enriching experience.
Critical Appreciation
Intent of this course is to offer broader perspective on critical way of thinking in Architecture.
Buildings are not merely appreciate by their looks, but to see how they have responded to surrounding context and immediate settings. It should have capable enough to hold us for long time with its intimate and experiential qualitative spaces.
What is complete architecture? It is when the building has responded to user activity and purpose, its scale, proportion, composition, symbolism, porosity, etc. and is able to authenticate them with learning’s, analysis and theoretical understanding of the buildings.
Design of Building Elements
In the late 19th century, Chicago architect Louis Sullivan wrote, “Form follows function.“ Yet even a cursory look at Sullivan’s own architecture reveals some of the greatest ornamentation in American architecture. That observation lends weight to a counterargument: that there are multiple ways of meeting the same function. Once one of those pathways has been selected, aesthetic considerations come into play. The Architect is responsible for resolving all these elements into a singular building design
The aim of this course is to sensitize students with the various building elements and manner and methods through which these elements become integrated part of the building.

Fundamentals of Painting Sculpture And Photography
Design is a universal language that encompasses a range of fields and mediums. This course explores three mediums and expands to provide students with the tools to think creatively. With a very hands on approach to teaching, it is a two-week intense project based activities.
